Home Stretch Dog Haven, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, was born from a profound understanding of the emotional depth of dogs and the immense suffering they endure when left homeless or subjected to abuse, neglect, and trauma. Recognizing their innate need for love and stability, we are dedicated to offering comprehensive rehabilitation services within a nurturing home environment. We adopted a puppy in the summer of 2023. They were extremely professional, and their documentation was very organized. They were very serious about making sure that the puppies were ending up in appropriate homes. The puppies were given lots of personal attention. The only warning I would give to future visitors is that adoption day is first-come first-served, and that you might be surprised by how many other adopters have their eyes on the same dog when a bunch of them become available. 5 out of 5.👍

Gretchen gave us many helpful tips as we transitioned home with our puppy. One of the best was the potty training tips. Our little guy is doing great and is catching on!

After applying to Adoptapet to adopt a mini Sheepadoodle, I was contacted by Gretchen from Home Stretch Dog Haven. She is the owner and is the one who was caring for this dog and her 3 other siblings. The very next day Gretchen called me and we were able to set up a time to meet. As soon as I saw "Sofi" (This is the name I gave her.), it was love at first sight. Gretchen let me hold Sofi while she went over the paperwork with me and explained all of the necessary information. Once that was completed, I was able to take home my new dog. Gretchen was very professional and very kind. I definitely recommend going through the adoption process at Home Stretch Dog Haven
